Now that the dust has firmly settled on bridal weeks from around the world, trends in bridal wear for 2015 are dominating bridal shops, magazines and of course bridal blogs. One of the most dominant styles that we’ve seen with almost every bridal designer, is the bridal gown with transparent neckline.
One of the more surprising things about this type of neckline is that depending on the quality of the fabric, it can create a “second skin” effect, where it almost looks as though the lace detailing is tattooed or painted onto the back or neckline of the bride, like in these beautiful designs by Amsale 2015 and Pronovias 2015. Absolutely stunning!
We also love the vintage styles with contemporary details and charming lace, like in this design by Pronovias, in which the sleeves, back and neckline are delicately covered with fitted lace.
Geometric forms, with a cleaner and less excessive style than the floral designs, are also present. This elegant design by Miquel Suay 2015 with a long front opening is the perfect combination of discretion and sensuality.
Romantic brides by Oscar de la Renta 2015 have also allowed themselves to be seduced by delicate transparencies, and carry another huge trend for 2015; flirtatious midi sleeves.
Designs with precious stones and sparkling details also combine themselves perfectly with transparencies, and yet again we find ourselves revisiting the cute trend of short bridal gowns for those daring brides that want to show off their great legs. Although bridal capes were less present in the designs for next year, we still think they’re a wonderful accessory that can be used by bride’s with a certain look at certain times of the year, like this elegant design from the collection by Carolina Herrera 2015.
Another trend that works in perfect harmony with transparencies is the jewelled neckline, like in this glamorous design from Jesús Peiró 2015.
